What are your thoughts on Troy Football going into the 2025 season?

• Improved
• Should be bottom 1/3 of East

• Surprisingly weak.
• Another team bringing a lot back, with the West being as packed as it is it may be too hard for them to stick out though
• Will they ever be back
• Not sure what to expect
• They’ll probably finish more or less like they did last year, maybe a bit better.
• Always tough. They should be in the thick of it come November.

• Oof. Not the same Troy from a few years ago. Not convinced Parker is the guy they need. Think they will be 5th or worst in the West.

• I think Troy is a middle of the pack team.  They can be a tough out, but they’re not going to be back to the level that Sumrall or Brown had them at.  Congrats on making it to the Camellia Bowl!

• Troy is Troy.  I would never count them out of any individual game, but see them bowl eligible and mid-level in the conference.  They’ll be back soon enough.
• Will improve but the record won’t show it with around 4-5 wins on the year.
• 9-3 ceiling, 6-6 floor
• Watch out folks they got their occasional ass year out of their system so they’re probably gonna be a pain in the ass again
• Troy needs a QB that knows how to get the ball into the end zone.  The WR group seems underwhelming and they really need someone to step up and make plays.  The best defensive unit is the LB group and unfortunately I think they will be called on early and often. 
• They get back a lot of players and their starting QB.  Their WR room is probably the most talented in the SBC, they got a lot of good players from the portal.  I’ll be surprised if they don’t go bowling.  I’d call them the DARK HORSE of the West.

• Improved, but I don’t see a return to the Sumrall level anytime soon.
