What are your thoughts on ULM Football going into the 2025 season?

• Going to be real good
• Butch Jones needs to have a good year I’ll say 8 wins
• Pre-season says they did well in the Portal. Time will tell.
• Hopefully they will lose more than will lose.
• I think they overachieved last year and picked up a couple wins that probably should have been losses.  I think they fail to get those wins this year and take a step back and battle Southern Miss for 5th/6th.
• Caught several teams off guard in 2024 in addition overall the west simply was not strong.  I can see finishing in top half of the conference but not contend for the title. 
• I picked them 5th, but wouldn’t surprise me to see them go anywhere from 1st to 5th. 
• lost so much.  Like others so its a crap shoot.
• Complete wild card. They brought in a ton of production in the portal but probably weren’t as good as their record indicated in 2024.

• I think I expect improvements. Slowly see the progress from a former P4 coach, but it hasn’t gone as fast as they hoped, much like Georgia Southern, but even worse. There have been moments, so maybe this is the year to become a true contender.

• I think 2024 was a little bit smoke and mirrors, but Butch Jones has them incrementally improving every year. I expect a solid team to take the field from them in 2025.

• Underrated. Could see them making a run in the West. Defense is kind of weak though. Not sure they can win it all.
• Expect Rucker to lead SBC in receiving yards

• I expect Bitch Jones to have a fun time coaching this year.  He seems to have Ark State loaded up with his talent and his players finally.  It’s an added bonus he kept QB Jaylen Raynor from leaving.

• Just like their logo Butch Jones looks perpetually constipated

• They will challenge for the title but fall a bit short.  The SBC needs a strong ASU, so I’m pulling for them (from the East, I might add.)

• I’m not worried about the west.
• stAte looks to be good on offense this season.  They have a lot (A lot) of talent on that side of the ball and that leads me to believe they will win some big games in shootout style.  Why shootout?  Because the defense can’t be too much worse than last season…right.  They need a pass rush and they need to plug some holes to stop the run.  If they can fix some of the defensive struggles they will be a contender for the west…If.
