This is the first part of the feedback regarding all 14 Sun Belt teams in 2025. These were anonymous thoughts from random fans of the Sun Belt, so you get a good mix of opinions.

As determined by random dot org, the first team is the Bobcats of Texas State.

Some answers were edited out due to low effort trolling or replying “none.”

What are your thoughts on Texas State Football going into the 2025 season?

• Will contend for the east but lose to ULALA
• I think they coast out the door.
• Who cares they are leaving. But I do wish them the best. They should be pretty solid. Will compete for the west.
• Last year, likely pumped about their conference change so look to be a contender.

• Another 5-3 season in SBC play. Will go to a bowl, but will not win the West.
• Extremely overrated! Couple successful seasons, after being a bottom dweller in the Sunbelt! I’m glad we’re getting rid of these bottom dwellers! Reminds me when we got rid of the bottom dwellers is like FIU, middle Tennessee, etc.

• Farewell Bobcats. Hope you lose to my team on your way out. Probably a little overrated like always though.
• They’re the Brazil of football programs. They’re “the team of the future” and they always will be.
• Texas State lost a lot of production to the portal but I have some confidence G.J. Kinne knows how to recruit and use the portal. Will they be a contender? Maybe…the west is a logjam for 2nd place behind Louisiana and Texas State probably has just a good a shot as any other west school.

• Over rated
• Lost almost everyone to graduation or the portal. Got huge depth at almost all positions however and should contend as one of the more talented teams in the conference. 8-4
• Who cares?
• I think they’re going to be very good… can beat anyone. But it seems like the big breakthrough seasons don’t seem to go their way. I don’t see much changing in that regard, especially with a loaded USM and Louisiana, a long with a Troy and ULM that bring back 90% of last year’s rosters. Gonna be TOUGH.
• Very hard to predict. The offensive scheme can be tough to deal with and there is plenty of talent, but they seem to always fall a little short of expectations. Hard to say if the move to the PAC will inspire them or their SBC opponents more.
• Sky high expectations only to be let down last season. I like GJ Kinne as a coach but think he might have reached Texas State’s ceiling. He’s done a good job there, but I think there’s some left on the table and I have expected more. Not sure if that’s entirely fair because historically they haven’t deserved much of any expectation.
