This is the fourth part of the feedback regarding all 14 Sun Belt teams in 2025. These were anonymous thoughts from random fans of the Sun Belt, so you get a good mix of opinions.

As determined by random dot org, the fourth team is the Monarchs of Old Dominion.

Some answers were edited out due to low effort trolling or replying “none.”

What are your thoughts on Old Dominion Football going into the 2025 season?

• Going to lose at ULM in the house of pain
• Long year.
• I’d like to see ODU have a bowl season.  They seem to have good players, but they just don’t seem to put it together.  It would be fun to see ODU step up and become a major SBC player.
• Expecting to finish in top half of the conference however not make a run at the championship 
• Big year for coach Rahne
• Won’t be very good
• Could be decent
• Rahne might just be mediocre
• I think this is the year they finally put the pieces together to get 8 or more wins.
• Might surprise some
• it’s now or never for Rahne
• Could surprise this year, could also lose lots of one score games.
• See you in the championship
• Top 4 in the East
• I see them taking a step forward this year. They won’t make the championship game but I can see them spoiling someone else’s dream.
• Games aren’t played on paper, and that sentiment is true of ODU as their season never goes according to script.  I wouldn’t be surprised if they went 6-2 or 2-6.  Aren’t they really good coming off a bye week?  Could this finally be the year the Monarchs break out?
• Sneaky good qb, could pull some upsets but another 5-7 win season
• Make or break year for Ricky Rahne. Big things are coming in Norfolk. The Steve is going to be a tough place to play.
• I think they are a top 3 team in the east.
• Bad
• Dark horse in the East.
• This will be the hard one to gauge. Could be 3-9 or 9-3
• Is this their year to break through? It’s a loaded division, the challenge is stout.
• ODU always feels like they have potential to be a top 3 team in the East but they never deliver. As a result I’ll keep them projected at 5th.
• We keep waiting for this potential dynamo to start rolling, but I see another average year for the Monarch’s
• I think ODU will be a winning program this year. They’ve got solid coaching and enough talent to keep themselves in every game.
• I expect a lot from both lines and they have a solid QB.  The defensive secondary will be the weak link and that will most likely hold them back a bit.  Maybe not a contender but I wouldn’t be surprised if they made a solid run for the east.

• NEVER DO AN AFTERNOON KICKOFF ON THE ROAD THERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE
• They’ll lose 2 dunb games and win one dumb game.
• Really good QB, good lines, should be a bowl team

• Strong start. Will show down second half of the season.

• Their QB is a future super star in the making.  I picked them third.

• They will win the SBC East.
• Sneaky, flying under the radar. Henderson and good, young QB are back. Think Rahne’s seat is quite warm if they don’t make a bowl game this year.
• Middle of the pack.

• They may surprise. Bringing back a good bit and had some close losses in 2024.
